Asu is one of the local islands off of Nias, and it is a small slice of paradise. There is one place you can get food cooked for you, but there is no menu, and the choices are: sandwich, spaghetti, french fries, fried rice, or fried noodles...oh yeah, you can get a banana pancake if you get up early enough. Carmen and I spend most of our time in the water, snorkeling, swimming, and fishing. I caught three fish with the spear: two striped ones, and one nice parrot fish. 
We also bought some lobster off a local and had a great dinner on our last night. It is difficult to get to Asu, but once you're there you won't want to leave!
