FISH MARKET

I haven't caught much lately. Mostly because I haven't had the chance, or the time to commit to getting out. Last weekend when I was in Aceh, I went fishing at "radio tower island", and I didn't catch a thing. I did, however, see a great big sea turtle, and a small reef shark (which was cruising around in knee deep water close by). This week the water was too dirty to go with the spear, and when I tried casting off the shore I only had little tiny ones stealing my bait. I will have to get out at the end of the week in a boat or something...maybe then I can get the big ones, but for now I've been buying them at the market (it's a lot easier).

Nice mug bro...and A+ on the weight loss....now I'M the fatboy...clocking in at an astonishing 120 lbs and climbing...this desk job is gonna give me a heart attack!!! Even my wife is noticing the chubbs more and more...getting old sux...and my hair is turning grey....dang!!! I used to be so hot!!

Were selling the Yota (you know how sad that can be)...and we bought a station wagon ('99 VW Passat, its a pretty sweet ride) and my holidays are coming up soon, so were headed to the island for part of the summer. Was up in Edmonton with Dan for the weekend a few days ago...I like that guy. He is selling his truck too...and I'm glad....someone died in it dude...I swear...there is gross splatter all over the roof...seriously looks like brains...and he said when he bought it the front seat was covered in blood!! (but he got it for cheap....geez, wonder why??!!)

Sophie is growing up way too fast and Alberta is growing on me way too much...it will be good to hit the coast again. Headed out camping for May long in Salmon Arm at the Shushwap with our grade 12 students, then next weekend is Thayne and Tiana's wedding, then its summer holidays, then Im off to Manchester, then leading camp for the end of July and Beginning of August, and then its fall and crazy church times start all over.

Thats the update for now....love you man...looking forward to December....gotta do a boys reunion, maybe over New Years.

Peace

Scotty

Russell!

I'm agree with Scott,
that pic looks pretty hot,
Wait, on second that,
Maybe it is not,
I just thought I'd take a shot
To say just what I thought.

Ok, sorry, I just had to get the random poet out for a bit..

Fella, swimming with sharks ain't the coolest thing for me... I was in Maui for a week with Mel (babymoon), and I was snorkelling alone off this reef where a lady had received a fatal wound from a shark just 2 weeks before I visited. I tell ya, bro, looking out into the deep blue sea can play with your head after hearing stories like that... BE CAREFUL, DON'T DIE, WE STIL HAVE TO GO FISHING AGAIN WHEN YOU GET BACK!

On that note, those little pinners are pretty annoying when they keep stealing your bait, I HATE THAT. But hey, better than absolutely no action...

I basically found out that I love bass fishing. My brother in law lives a 10 minute drive from the lake where BC's biggest bucketmouth was pulled from. He lives in the Okanagan, so I've been out there a few weekends bagging loads of smallmouths on fun rubbery bass baits! They fight like snot, and it's such a rush sight fishing for them! I'm still looking for a fish over the 13 inch mark, but I'm 'honing the craft,' so to speak.

Too bad you're not here to sharpen up with me.

Thinking 'bout ya, bro. Good on you for what you're doing.

Matt
